From Editorial
Philip E. High’s career began in Authentic Science Fiction in 1955, and he remains grateful for the help of its editors, H.J. Campbell and E.C. Tubb. His first novel, The Prodigal Sun, was snapped up by Don Wollheim for Ace Books in 1964, and was followed by many others. He admits to a preference for writing stories “with a beginning, a middle and an end.” But all are characterised by a vivid imagination, and memorably bizarre settings. Currently working on a new novel, he took time out to write The Kiss “for my own benefit – the idea was so pressing, I just had to follow it up.” |
